Alder overview

Alder combines on-device dictation with voice workflows for Mac. Use voice-to-text to write emails, messages, and notes in nearly any app, then use Command to ask questions, rewrite text, or summarize material you choose.

For example, attach a PDF and ask for its main points, turn selected notes into an email draft, or ask a question about a screenshot. You choose the text, files, webpages, or saved material Alder uses.

Features

Private voice typing: Speech recognition and text cleanup run on your Mac. Dictation audio and transcripts are not uploaded for processing.
Voice commands for your work: Draft, rewrite, summarize, and get answers using selected text, screenshots, local files, and webpages.
Multilingual writing: Dictate with automatic language detection and use local translation to write in another language.
Your vocabulary: Add names and specialist terms, set text replacements, and insert reusable snippets by voice.
Keep useful work: Review and reuse results in History, and save material in a private Library for future questions and drafts.
